Woman Takes 18 Disabled Dogs To The Beach For The First Time Ever

Dogs are some of the most innocent creatures on earth. Even the smallest daily events, like going for a walk or seeing their owners come home from work, can bring immense joy to our furry friends.

However, it is not always easy for disabled dogs to explore nature like other dogs. Rough terrain, thick vegetation, and bodies of water can all be difficult obstacles for dogs in wheelchairs.

Salima Kadaoui, the founder of the SFT Animal Sanctuary in Tangiers, Morocco, was determined that her 18 disabled dogs would get to experience the beach just like any other dog.

Many of the dogs she rescues have sustained lifelong injuries from being hit by cars and abandoned. However, Salima never gives up on them, knowing that they can still live a full life if they adapt to a new way of life.

On July 4th, Salima took some of her dogs on a day trip to the beach to exhibit their potential for rehabilitation. Despite only having the use of their front legs, the dogs ran alongside Salima from one end of the beach to the other.

Imagine lying on the beach and suddenly seeing 18 dogs in wheelchairs racing down the sand!

The doggy wheelchair has been a life-saving device for dogs of all sizes, from tiny corgis to giant German Shepherds. These dogs can run just as fast as their non-disabled counterparts, despite not being able to use their back legs.

There’s even room for some playful mischief! In one video, a corgi steals Salima’s shoe and runs around with it in her mouth before returning it to its rightful owner.

Another video shows one naughty dog placing the wheel of his friend’s wheelchair in his mouth, but they keep moving at full speed!

It’s clear that these dogs are full of life, and it’s amazing that Salima has been able to provide them with the life they deserve.

These dogs can teach us humans a lot about life. Rather than comparing ourselves to others and wishing for what we don’t have, we should learn to love and appreciate what we do have.

The video of Salima and her pups has gained approximately 1500,000 views. Speaking to Story Trender about her rescue mission, Salima said, “We have approximately 600 animals in all at the Sanctuary, including dogs, cats, donkeys, and monkeys.”

She must have her hands full, but what a satisfying career it must be! Check out the adorable video of these disabled dogs enjoying life on the beach.
