When AMA Animal Rescue took Romeo in, he was completely paralyzed on all four legs, writes ilovemydogsomuch

It’s unknown what happened to him that caused this while he was homeless, but rescuers and vet staff knew that they would do whatever they could to help him.

Romeo quickly proved that his injuries did not break his spirit.

After weeks and weeks of physical therapy, Romeo miraculously began walking again and after a month, he was already running!

But Romeo wasn’t out of the woods yet. Staff noticed that his eyes were always tearing, and vets diagnosed him with Entropion, a condition where the eyelids are turned inward. Thankfully, he underwent a successful surgery and his eyes were back to normal.

Although Romeo was a very loving and affectionate dog, the rescue had trouble in finding him he perfect home. They did receive some applications for him, but many families reconsidered adopting him after they learned about the unknowns that come with Romeo’s past injuries.

After four months of waiting, Romeo’s prayers were finally answered. He found a loving forever home!
