Star and Denver share a very strong bond that will last them a lifetime.

The two pups were found in Louisiana alongside their mother and their six siblings by a couple who happened to be out on a walk.

The big family had been cruelly and unceremoniously dumped by some unknown person and left to fend for themselves.

If it wasn’t for the kind couple who, after finding them, ended up fostering the entire family until the puppies were weaned, they might not have survived.

When the pups had finished nursing, they were taken in by the Helen Woodward Animal Center in San Diego who set out to find them their forever homes.

Six of the eight puppies have now found and joined their new families, but Star and Denver are still looking.

The pair can only be adopted together – and for good reason.

Star happens to be deaf and mostly blind, and Denver has become her constant guide and protector.

He’s constantly looking after his sister and making sure that she’s safe and doing okay.

Star draws a lot of strength from her brother’s presence and the two are totally inseparable.

Watching the pair, it’s easy to tell that the siblings are bonded for life.

Thanks to Denver, Star can play and enjoy life much like any other pup.

They play and tussle together, explore their surroundings and simply have a lot of fun.

Kelleher, the social media manager for HWAC, explained to The Dodo that Denver constantly makes sure that Star is okay and that she knows he’s nearby.

“He does this by nudging her,” she said.

The two pups are both extremely lovable and are going to make some family very happy.

At the moment, they are hoping to find their new forever home somewhere in the local community.

We’re sure that this sweet pair will find that perfect home soon, and then they’ll be able to spend the rest of their lives living happily together.
