Vivek Chevvakula has made it his mission to help dogs with plastic bottles stuck on their heads. It happens so often that he has already saved over 25 dogs. The problem could largely be prevented if people took a few moments to crush their plastic containers before discarding them, so that hungry strays wouldn’t go putting their heads inside in search of food.

The hardest part of these rescues is the initial panic when approaching these helpless dogs. They’re already nervous and can’t see what’s going on, so it’s a race to get the bottle off as quickly as possible. But according to Vivek, there’s no better feeling in the world than setting them free. “When I remove the bottle from the dog’s head, it makes me feel the happiest.”
