On his way to the shelter, Fahrudin Caki Bravo, founder of a tiny rescue organisation in Bosnia called Saving Stray Animals, saw a stray puppy. He stopped moving so he could investigate the kid’s condition. In spite of the fact that he had always known he was an orphaned puppy, it still crushed his heart to see it in such a tangible way.
When the puppy saw the rescuer coming, he immediately felt afraid. He tried to escape, but an injury to his back legs prevented him from doing so. Rather, he pulled his legs and hid behind a bush.
Caki, who eventually named the dog Goldy, decided to follow it because he wanted to help. He comforted him and tried to reassure him that he wasn’t trying to hurt him. And despite the mayhem that followed, he was able to settle him down and hold him.
After examining Goldy, the vets determined that his wounds had to be at least two weeks old. They couldn’t determine what brought on his paralysis, but whatever it was, it was serious. His genitalia and nerves were both severely damaged.
Caki hoped that Goldy would be successful and content. The puppy’s legs were irreparably damaged, and emergency medical attention was delayed too long. However, he was otherwise healthy, thus he should not give up because of his impairment.
The rescuer was really helpful and did everything he could for the puppy. He gathered donations to cover his medical expenses and fashioned a homemade wheelchair for him. He brought him up, and when the time was right, he introduced him to the love of his life.
Goldy moved in with his adoptive mom, Jasmina Gerstner, a month after he was rescued. From the minute they met, he was completely smitten with her, and he was eternally appreciative that she invited him to live with her.
Goldy should be given another chance. The generous woman who adopted him has given him a new, permanent home and a wonderful existence.
