If there is one thing about the handsome Clarence that stands out, it is that he treats others with a lot of affection in the hopes that they would return the favor. This adorable golden retriever mix who is 4 years old has just one goal in mind: to embrace everyone he encounters and win their hearts.

Clarence, however, had never been able to enjoy the conveniences of home since his former owners had kept him in their garden. The saddest part is that they later made the call to abandon him in a Walmart parking lot without considering what would happen to him.

The beautiful little puppy started following the two other abandoned pets, a little Chihuahua and a German Shepherd.

The dogs became their new family, until one day Clarence and his German shepherd comrade were taken into custody by the city’s animal control.

Clarence’s owners were contacted by staff, but when they declined to take him up, they put him on the euthanasia list.

Fortunately, the New Jersey-based rescue facility Hounds In Pounds intervened quickly.

Clarence and his German Shepherd pal were rescued and taken to the rescue center to be groomed and placed in a permanent home.

Despite having a difficult beginning to his existence, Clarence did not have any ill feelings toward anybody and clung to those who had saved him.

Staff of the center posted the following on Facebook:

He is kind, sensitive, and really appreciative of our protection. We like Clarence’s nature and can’t help but get lost in his golden fur, which makes us think of sunlight. He is radiant, kind, and lights up the lives of people who know him.

The cute, fluffy puppy has shown himself to be a kind individual that gets along with everyone he encounters, including cats.

The shelter’s founder, Cat Suzuki, told The Dodo:

“He literally is an angel. All he wants to do is stand by your side.

Clarence made the trip to the city of Georgia to start looking for a new place to live and to start a new chapter in his life.
